Back, Back in the Day

Wow, Y'all Remember these days?

The boys will be 11 months old next week. It's crazy that they will probably be walking in a month, smoking in two years, and then in three years sleeping through the 196th playing of Finding Nemo in Melissa's then three-year old minivan. Time will fly no doubt, as it already has.

Finding Ears

Donovan has a good time playing with his ears. He also has a good time playing with Hayden's ears. The boys are starting to get back to eating normally since their stomach aches. Melissa gave them Lasagna at the mall. Unfortunately, Donovan gave us the lasagna right back this morning in his crib. He was happy though the rest of the day and is hopefully getting back to his old jolly little self!

The boys got their camper back tonight. They are very excited to go camping soon. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for picking up the camper!

Happy Easter

The boys had a real good time playing at Grandma Sue and Grandpa Dan's house on Saturday and Sunday. They opened up some plastic eggs and got some candy and life was good.

Hayden and Donovan were so excited for Easter that they woke up at 5:00 a.m. this morning. Melissa and I tried rocking them to sleep (with Quiet Riot and recliners) but they just wouldn't go. We gave up at 7:19 a.m. The boys finally took a nap as follows: Hayden during church around 11:20 and Donovan on the way to brunch around 12:15. The naps were brief. We did have a nice day and a nice time at brunch with Grandma Sue and Grandpa Dan. I pushed Donovan around the Great Dane several times since Donovan was being a little disorderly. Grandma Sue pushed him around later on, and one guy said. "so, are you taking turns?" If offered, he probably would have declined the opportunity to push the Big D around the Great Dane.

We will see if the Easter Bunny came when we get home!

Now Hayden has infected the whole house!

Melissa is feeling better, but I am now under the weather.

Today we have gone through six sleepers, several onesies and we are really learning that (1) Pampers are having a hard time competing with this virus, and (2) Huggies can't compete with it.

I guess we forgot what it was like for the boys to spontaneously throw up all over the carpet, themselves etc. This has been a really nice friendly reminder!

Uh Oh, Now 3/4 of the household is sick

Hayden, Donovan and Melissa all are feeling under the weather. Looks to be a long day tomorrow.

Sicko

Hayden has been sick to his poor little stomach since St. Patrick's Day. Worst Diapers Ever! He has been feeling better, and he has graduated to diet of bread and water (formerly just Pedialyte water). I snuck Hayden a couple bites of pear tonight, which should make him happy. Send your thoughts to poor little Hayden in the comment section!

Donovan is still eating along, unphased by his brother's downfall.

Moose was sick with somethin' fierce last week. She seems to be doing better though!

Loss of a good friend

Donovan and Hayden lost a good friend tonight. One of the goldfish passed. We are withholding the name of the goldfish pending notification of family members, and because we forgot this particular goldfish's name. He was a nice goldfish though, and I think he was one that we had for a while now. He will be missed. In lieu of flowers, please send your condolence checks to Donovan and Hayden.

More teeth coming for Donovan?

We'll keep you posted.

Hayden is busy crawling all around and pulling himself up looking for his teeth! He'll keep trucking along until he finds them.

Hailey is busy hanging out in her dog bed!

Melissa is busy on the computer upstairs!

The cats are busy howling because they are hungry!

The fish are suffering from amnesia!

I am busy typing and separating Donovan and Hayden while they try to steal toys from each other!

Grandpa Dan

Donovan and Hayden asked that we post the following information.

We regret to announce that our Grandpa Dan is really sick and not feeling well. Grandma Sue has told us that he has viral pneumonia and a blood infection, and she is taking care of him. We are upset that we are not allowed to visit him and demonstrate our new crawling abilities. So to let Grandpa Dan know we are thinking about him we have written a top 10 things we love about Grandpa Dan list.

10. He has a moustache
9. He likes blue
8. He is going to teach us how to start a REAL fire (sorry Dad lighter fluid does not count as starting a real fire)
7. He has kept our van running well past its prime (although stay tuned for the fate of our van...)
6. He let our mom drive his Trailblazer without an end date
5. When we spend the night at his house and wake him up at 4am he is not mad
4. He pretends to drop us so we laugh
3. He has a nice boat
2. He willingly (ok..sorta willingly) moves our Dad's camper
1. He feeds babies chocolate

Please keep our Grandpa Dan in your thoughts and post any well wishes for him for a speedy recovery.
