The boys had a real good time playing at Grandma Sue and Grandpa Dan's house on Saturday and Sunday. They opened up some plastic eggs and got some candy and life was good.
Hayden and Donovan were so excited for Easter that they woke up at 5:00 a.m. this morning. Melissa and I tried rocking them to sleep (with Quiet Riot and recliners) but they just wouldn't go. We gave up at 7:19 a.m. The boys finally took a nap as follows: Hayden during church around 11:20 and Donovan on the way to brunch around 12:15. The naps were brief. We did have a nice day and a nice time at brunch with Grandma Sue and Grandpa Dan. I pushed Donovan around the Great Dane several times since Donovan was being a little disorderly. Grandma Sue pushed him around later on, and one guy said. "so, are you taking turns?" If offered, he probably would have declined the opportunity to push the Big D around the Great Dane.
We will see if the Easter Bunny came when we get home!

I remember a very similar brunch with grandparents with Lucas while pregnant with Gwen.....we wore laps in the carpet at the White Horse Inn and I think Grandma Thelen (as in great grandma Thelen) really enjoyed her brandy old fashioned's that day, which she deserved.
We would like to add that Walgreen's brand of diaper nor our super extra large cloth and fabulous wraps have been able to contain the virus of Easter 2008 that we have obtained, whether through contact with Guyla squared or with the general population.
Regretfully, I did not get to see nearly enough of the boys to get my fix and will be surfing the blog twice as often to catch up. Wishing I had seen more of mom and dad too. Raising a sippy cup toast of Pedalyte to good health, good sleep and healthy GI tracts.
Love,
Auntie V
